Multidisciplinary Senior Design Project
RIT Electric Vehicle Team
The RIT Electric Vehicle Team is a student run organization dedicated to promoting the viability of electric vehicles through practical design of electric motorbikes. The team aims to educate people on the principles of electric vehicle design by engaging students in challenging and rewarding projects that cover a wide variety of academic disciplines. This exhibit showcases EVT's latest projects covering two different motorbike platforms. Each platform showcases unique engineering challenges completed by students across software engineering, electronics design and mechanical fabrication. Featured in the exhibit, REV2 (Road Electric Vehicle 2) competed at the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb in 2019, and since then has seen a host of improvements. Additionally, DEV1 (Dirt Electric Vehicle 1) is making a debut appearance as the team prepares for a future endurance trail competition.
