Multidisciplinary Senior Design Project
Transparent Antenna System to Provide Outdoor WiFi to Museum Guests
The exhibit is a standalone window frame with a sign that asks attendees to connect to a WiFi network with their personal device. This WiFi network will be broadcasted by a transparent antenna that is placed on the surface of the window pane (barely visible to the human eye) using a specialized manufacturing process. Upon connecting to the network, attendees will be greeted by a website pop-up that gives a brief description of the project along with a picture of our campus' mascot, RITchie. Attendees will then be asked to determine which pane of glass the antenna is contained in on the window frame. A team member from our project will also be present to answer any questions and talk about our project throughout the day.
