    RIT students are collecting personal care items, such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap, shavers, toilet paper and feminine hygiene products, to be donated to the Center for Youth shelter for teens. Donations are being collected on campus through Thursday.

    Former roommates Zhenya Grinshteyn ’09 and Ben Beisler ’10 built a company out of building custom snowboards. The duo’s company, Empire Grown, was recognized for producing one of the best snowboards for 2017, according to the online publication Board Insiders.

    Sharon Napier ’04, founder and CEO of Partners + Napier, is RIT’s Outstanding Alumna of the Year for 2016, and Michael Krupnicki ’99 is RIT’s Volunteer of the Year. They will receive the awards during the Presidents’ Alumni Ball on Friday.
