The RIT Financial Literacy Team and Student Government are excited to offer a FREE Financial Fitne$$ Conference virtually via Zoom on Saturday, November 4th, 2023 from 1:00pm-5:00pm.  The goal of this conference is to raise awareness about the importance of financial wellness/financial literacy.  Simply put, financial literacy is the ability to understand how money works.  To understand money and how it works, it’s important to understand common financial principles such as budgeting, saving, credit, investments, as well as making sense of job offers, negotiating salary, and protecting your assets.  Financial literacy enables one to understand what is needed to achieve a lifestyle that is financially balanced, sustainable, ethical and responsible.

The conference will kick off with a panel discussion at 1:00pm.  Panelists include Jeff Bocach – President and CEO of Advantage Federal Credit Union; John C. Ninfo, II – Retired United States Bankruptcy Judge; Dr. Joy Olabisi - Saunders College of Business Management Professor and Director of the Supply Chain Management BS and MS programs; and Peter and Jenna Morgante - Founders/Owners of Tree Town Cafe in Brighton, NY. Conference attendees will also be able to select to attend up to three, 50 minute sessions on a variety of financial literacy topics mentioned above. All registered attendees will receive links to the recorded sessions after the conference concludes. The conference is completely FREE and has been designed and developed specifically for currently enrolled RIT students.  Space is limited to 200 registrants.
