Teaching Students About Owning Their Intellectual Property and Sharing It. Session One of Open@RIT's Town Hall Series
Welcome back to Open@RIT Town Hall Series!
Session 1: Teaching Students About Owning Their Intellectual Property and Sharing It.
RIT rightfully promotes to its students that they own their IP. But the education of students around was that means varies widely This session will share and discuss a starter deck that you can use with your students in Freshman seminar courses or elsewhere. It contains a set of references on Open across colleges and concentrations such as engineering, arts, tech, sciences, education, and entrepreneurship.
These sessions have proven to be an excellent time for us to build connections and further discuss with the RIT community about the far-reaching implications and opportunities in Open Work. This town hall series will continue through the spring semester, covering high-level and concentrated topics within Open. If there are specific areas of interest you believe would benefit from a wider conversation, please reach out, so we can include it in our program.
Will be an in-person and online session, and we will be hosting in the Wallace Library Non-Academic Room – 1407, from 11:00am – 12:00pm
