there’s no limit to what RIT
students can achieve.

Unrestricted giving allows RIT to be proactive and reactive to our students' and campus needs by aligning your gifts with the university's giving priorities, which are our most immediate concerns. These gifts enable RIT the flexibility to take advantage of emerging opportunities or support emergency needs as they arise. The world is ever-changing, and change often comes with new economic realities faced by students and their families. With your gifts, we are able to provide the support for our students when they need it.

Here are some examples of how
unrestricted gifts can be put to use:

Creates the ability for a student to overcome unexpected financial hardship due to employment loss, death of a family member or other dire circumstance impacting the student or the family.

Gives a student the opportunity to attend world-class conferences and learn from world leaders in innovation and entrepreneurship.

Enables students to participate in programs like WOCHA and MOCHA (Wo/Men of Color, Honor and Ambition), where they develop leadership skills through professional mentoring and networking opportunities.

Allows a student to spend a summer on campus researching cancer imaging to better understand cancer treatments.
