All the Best - An Interactive Space For Words Left Unspoken

After my grandfather passed away when I was nine, I felt his memories fading, leading to guilt and emptiness. Discovering his diary revealed a new side of him, allowing me to connect with his thoughts and wisdom. This inspired me to explore bonds between the living and deceased. I plan to turn his handwriting into a typeface and create a physical type (like an oversized letterpress). This project, named "All the Best" after his recorded words, aims to offer a creative outlet for processing grief. Using 3D-printed letterpress blocks, I will create an interactive experience where messages are manually assembled and digitally projected, allowing users to send messages they never could. This approach combines tangible elements with digital media to honor those who have passed and strengthen connections with loved ones.
