Bioplastic Processing

Our exhibit will focus on bioplastics. We will have three aspects to our exhibit; blow film, cast film and sample tables. Blown film will consist of students running the blown film line showing visitors one way to process multi-layer bioplastic films. The second station is cast film, that will show visitors how we use our twin screw extruder to process single layer films. The table section will have several film and composite samples that were previously made or injection molded. Secondary exhibitors will discuss the research we do in the lab as well as discuss the importance of bioplastics currently in industry.
