Our carbon fiber wheel shells are a high-performance, lightweight solution designed to enhance vehicle efficiency for the Formula SAE team, RIT Racing. By leveraging advanced composite materials, these shells minimize unsprung mass while maintaining exceptional strength, leading to improved acceleration, handling, and braking performance. Designed, manufactured, and rigorously tested by our team, these wheels have been analyzed in Siemens FEMAP to ensure optimal strength and stiffness. Each wheel consists of five precision-engineered components—an inside shell, outside shell, and three lap reinforcements—that provide structural integrity and reliability. Our wheels have undergone extensive physical testing to validate our simulations, ensuring safety, durability, and peak performance on the track.
