Cash Quest is an engaging and educational board game designed to introduce and reinforce fundamental accounting concepts. Players will navigate financial scenarios while learning about assets, liabilities, revenue, and expenses. Through interactive gameplay, participants will develop a deeper understanding of financial decision-making and how it impacts a business's financial position. Objective: "ACCUMULATE ASSETS AND REDUCE LIABILITIES TO REACH A WISE FINANCIAL GOAL!" Players aim to build a strong financial position by acquiring assets, generating income, managing expenses, and minimizing liabilities. The goal is to achieve a positive net income and a substantial net asset value to win rewards and advance their financial literacy. Game Description: Each player begins the game with an initial cash balance of $100 to use throughout the financial events. Players will roll a dice to move across the board, encountering a variety of business-related financial transactions. For this version, the board is modeled after the operations of a retail supermarket (similar to industry leaders like Walmart), immersing players in real-world business scenarios. The board consists of various financial events that reflect common business activities. Each transaction on the board is assigned a specific monetary value (round values like 10$, 20$, 30$, 50$), influencing the player’s financial position. Gameplay Mechanics: • Players roll the dice to navigate the board, encountering different financial events in a randomized order. • Each financial event requires players to adjust their financial position by earning income, acquiring assets, paying expenses, or incurring liabilities. • After completing a full round across the board, players calculate their net financial position: Net Income = Total Income - Total Expenses Net Assets = Total Assets - Total Liabilities Winning Condition & Rewards: At the end of each round, players assess their financial status. If a player meets the following criteria, they earn a reward: • Net Income exceeds $50 (Income - Expenses) • Net Assets exceed $100 (Assets - Liabilities) Rewards Include: • Candy or • Fun fact cards related to accounting and finance or • Stickers or • Keychains Educational Outcomes: 1. Reinforce foundational accounting principles (assets, liabilities, revenue, and expenses). 2. Enhance financial literacy through hands-on, experiential learning. 3.
