Collegiate Esports Start-Up Kit
Collegiate Esports Start-Up Kit exhibit showcases the significance of esports as a unique community building catalyst for university students to find a community of like minded individuals. One third of young adults report that they would prefer to watch or participate in esports activities over conventional sports. Yet, only 21 percent of universities have esports programs or clubs. In a time of increased awareness about mental health issues and the critical need for student engagement in healthy, community building activities, esports is a dynamic online venue for shared interests and experiences. Our booth offers statistics and visuals to educate visitors on the significant concepts of esports programs. In addition, visitors can interact hands-on with our example overlay and gain valuable insight into what makes overlays impactful in an esports setting. We also are providing some esports streams as reference, along with handouts explaining how important design aspects of overlays are to the esports experience.
