Computational Thinking with Life-Size Mazes

Location

Golisano Hall (GOL/070) - 1610

This project is an offshoot of a National Science Foundation-funded project to investigate the use of puzzles to teach Computer Science. In addition, some mazes are inspired by student work in the course Puzzles for Computing. We will put several different types of mazes on the floor for people to solve by walking around! As you try to solve them, consider what you are thinking about - no matter what you are doing, you are running a type of algorithm! In addition to enjoying the mazes, we can discuss how these relate to the study of Computer Science. We will put several different types of mazes on the floor for people to solve by walking around! Can you get through without turning left? Can you follow the colors in order?
