Desert Rhythms Belly Dance

Desert Rhythms is a performing belly dance troupe located in Rochester, New York that has been performing for over 40 years. The troupe consists of women, some who are RIT Alumni and staff, brought together by the love of Middle Eastern dance, music and rhythms, who respect each other and each other's talents. Each dance is an original, collaboratively choreographed piece, with some including the use of props: veils, swords, canes, candles and finger cymbals. We strive to provide a unique, entertaining experience the audience will remember.
