Finger Lakes Aquatic Research Explorer (FLARE)

Finger Lakes Aquatic Research Explorer (FLARE) is an underwater remotely operated vehicle (ROV) designed for exploring the finger lakes. At our exhibit, we will have underwater video footage pre-recorded using FLARE on display, along with the completed ROV. Although we will not be able to submerge the ROV at Imagine, we can demonstrate the operation of FLARE using a controller, as well as the camera and sensors onboard. We will require a table, power, and a screen to display the video on (a laptop may suffice). The demonstration will involve small, enclosed motors running. We would like to request being placed in the Gordon Field House if possible. Our MSD team consists of 6 people.
