Fluids are Fun - Laminar Flow Table
The Laminar Flow Table simulates the flow of streamlines around various shaped objects. Unlike wind tunnels that need smoke or other additives for visualization, the Laminar Flow Table is basically a 2D wind tunnel that easily allows participants to see how fluid moves around objects. Knowing how fluid moves helps determine how much lift or drag that object will produce. Car designers, aircraft engineers, and even swimsuit manufacturers use streamlines to help them create the most efficient design.
