We are a multidisciplinary group creating a glove helps those with limited fine motor skills and weakened grip strength return to carrying out independent daily tasks. The primary target for this project is individuals with one-sided grip impairments caused by such conditions such as musculoskeletal disorders, traumatic injuries, effects from stroke, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, arthritis and carpal tunnel syndrome. We have created a glove that uses a linear actuator to contract the hand using strings and 3D printed finger tips.
