Light Room

Location

Step into the Light Room, an immersive experience where we explore the fascinating interaction between light and perception. The exhibit features two interactive stations: The UV Experience - Discover the magic of ultraviolet light! Under UV illumination, self-made paintings glow, which otherwise would not under normal lighting. Learn about fluorescence and how certain materials absorb UV light and emit it in visible wavelengths. The Color-Shift Table - A seemingly ordinary yellow lamp transforms the way you see colors! Objects placed under this light may look entirely different from how they appear in daylight. This phenomenon demonstrates how lighting conditions influence color perception and how our eyes and brain interpret visual information. Visitors will have the opportunity to experiment with different objects, observe color shifts firsthand, and gain insight into the science behind fluorescence and color perception. Whether you're a science enthusiast or just curious about how light shapes our world, the Light Room offers a fun and educational experience for all ages.
