Massive 3D Model Rendering

Exploring complex 3D meshes relies heavily on real-time rendering technology, which provides instant visual feedback and enables user interactions. In recent years, the increasing demand for realistic, immersive, and interactive virtual experiences has drawn attention from both the research community and industry to rendering extremely complex 3D meshes. The rapid growth of 3D data across diverse fields has outpaced modern computers' storage capacities. For massive 3D scenes, vertices and triangles must be stored in external memory and loaded dynamically into cache memory, a process known as out-of-core rendering. In this demo, we showcase our research findings in computer graphics technology and demonstrates a system that allows users to interact with over a billion vertices and triangles on a large display. This innovation has potential applications in data visualization and digital training.
