Multidisciplinary Robotics Club
The Multi-Disciplinary Robotics Club (MDRC) is an RIT club devoted to helping students make their robot ideas come to life. Founded in 2002 by a student named Nate Pendleton, MDRC started off small with just a few friends with a passion for robotics. It has since grown to have over 6 active projects and many dedicated members. Members learn professional and technical skills beyond what is taught in the classroom that make them uniquely prepared to work in industry. MDRC emphasizes collaboration and teamwork as vital skills for engineers. The club works to foster a broad range of technical abilities as well helping students from a variety of different backgrounds learn engineering skills and principles. Additionally, members pride themselves on preserving the spirit of experimentation and passion for creating which has been the driving force behind the club since the start. Above all, MDRC strives to be an inviting space where anyone can come to learn about robotics
