Overboard

The scenario of the game is that the player is a shipwrecked pirate who must survive the dangerous waters and retrieve their doubloons before the rescue boat arrives. This is a time-based "floor is lava" survival game in which players must navigate the arena while avoiding hazards. The player must survive a certain amount of time (2-3 minutes) while jumping from platform to platform. Choice in difficulty level affects the number of lives a player has, the size of the platforms in their round, and the distance between platforms. This makes the game enjoyable for all ability levels and improves replayability as users learn the mechanics of the game. Doubloons will be scattered throughout the game, which add points to the player's score when collected. 15' x 10' play area, top-down floor and wall projections, top-down IR camera to track the movement of players and Unity for game UI and platform projections.
