Pneumatic Controller for a Cardiovascular Flow Loop
Our product is a linear actuator that moves the piston of a cylinder and controls airflow into a chamber via tubing. There is a silicone sac in that chamber that gets compressed as air is pressurized to pump liquid through a flow loop. We would have our physical product and the flow loop which take up a significant amount of space (about 4ftx2ft). We would have a desktop computer that is running commands to the linear actuator as well as reading off pressure measurements. We would also have a monitor displaying animations to help visualize what is happening in the system and it's connection to a heart.
