Quackbox 360
The Quackbox 360 is the latest evolution of the Quackbox, a unique, duck-shaped video game console that our organization first showcased at Imagine RIT 2024. This new version is fully functional, with built-in electronics that allow it to power on and off like a standard gaming system. At its core, the Quackbox 360 is powered by a Raspberry Pi 4, featuring our custom-designed, duck-themed user interface and experience. Visitors will get hands-on experience playing a widespread selection of indie duck-themed remakes of classic video games, all implemented by developers in our organization. Whether it's a quacky take on a nostalgic arcade favorite or a brand-new adventure starring our favorite feathered friends, there's a quest for everyone to enjoy! In addition to the Quackbox 360, our exhibit will also feature the COMS Robot Water Blaster, a remote-controlled robot modeled after a duck that automatically directs water at people or objects. Powered by an ESP32 microcontroller and a 12V 2A internal battery, this robotic duck adds an extra splash of fun! However, since water and electronics don’t always mix, please ensure all water is expelled from the reservoir before storage, and be mindful of water-sensitive items nearby, as the reservoir may leak. Stop by our exhibit to try out the Quackbox 360, meet the developers, and experience gaming with a little extra waddle—plus, catch a glimpse of our robotic duck in action!
