The Return of Virtual Karaoke

At ImagineRIT 2019, we presented Virtual Karaoke, where performers sing live in the real world while a virtual puppet, which is controlled using facial motion capture, performs the song on a virtual stage. This year, we expand the experience to include both facial and body motion so performers can control a complete avatar, face and body, as they perform on a virtual stage. Would you like to perform? The live performance (in a real physical stage) takes place in the Wegmans Theatre at MAGIC Spell Studios Just want to watch? Viewing of the live performance in an immersive virtual space can be done using the VR headsets in classroom MSS-2010 in MAGIC Spell Studios. Karaoke sessions will run from 11am-12:15pm and from 2pm – 3:15pm.
