Hot Wheelz is a predominantly women, student-run organization dedicated to the enrichment of the RIT students' education by providing them with the tools to learn and explore possibilities for future employment in all industries. Our team is currently working on our first-ever solar car that we designed and manufactured in-house. We are looking forward to competing this summer at the Formula Sun Grand Prix in Bowling Green, Kentucky. This competition is an endurance-based track event to see which university team can complete the most amount of laps in a 3 day time period. If we do well in this competition, we can move forward to the American Solar Challenge which is a cross-country competition with our car. This means our vehicle is special since our car will have to be road-legal for us to compete. We are looking forward to conquering all these challenges together and can't wait to see our hard work put to the test!
