Robotic Manta Ray
We have two proposals: 1 (preferred). Our exhibit will focus on the robotic manta ray itself. We will have a booth near the pool, and will regularly run demonstrations of the robot in the pool. It will be placed in the pool and swim across it. We will also have a laptop or TV set up on a table to present information and promotional material for the project/robot. This will be a mix of promotional videos showing the future possibilities, and information about the actual current robot (specs, materials, capabilities etc) and the design, prototyping, and manufacturing processes. We will need a table and power for charging the robots battery and powering the display 2. We have a standard booth (chairs, table, power) in the field house where we will spend most of the time presenting the stationary robot and the information/promotional material. Occasionally (ex. every 15 min) we take the robot to the pool and do a demo run. This would be on a set schedule so people that visit our booth can know when to head to the pool if they want to see the demo. We will also prompt a brief survey for visitors about the robot.
