Student Government: Changing the Campus
RIT's Student Government has a long history of involvement on campus, but it was not till 2014 that PawPrints, a student petitioning site hosted by SG, was created. Over the past decade, there have been numerous petitions created, and it has allowed SG and the administrators to better identify student issues on campus and working collaboratively to improve and enhance the student experience. Sometimes, PawPrints can grow outside of just advocacy. In Spring 2024 a PawPrint was made to install a model train on the SHED beam. Though initially viewed as a joke, it was taken seriously by SG and grew in scope. Moving through student advocacy, into university advancement to get a donation for funding, to academics in a MSD team, and different colleges and offices in the RIT community. It demonstrates not only the ingenuity of the RIT student body, but the interconnectedness of the campus community.

Organization
MSD 22820 was created for a project that was conceived from a PawPrint, which is one of Student Government's primary forms of advocacy for the students. The intent would be to be paired next to that MSD exhibit.
