For Imagine RIT 2025, the SMPTE Student Chapter is excited to showcase the cutting-edge potential of virtual production on Sound Stage East. Our demonstration will feature the use of LED walls to create real-time, in-camera visual effects. This interactive experience invites the audience to actively participate, offering a hands-on look at the many components and technologies that drive the virtual production workflow. We will explore the challenges of these techniques, how they are used on a fully operational film set, and highlight the creative opportunities they present. Finally, we will demonstrate how virtual production can go beyond traditional filmmaking to create immersive experiences that drive innovation within the industry.
