Wreath Force with Honor

Welcome to our exhibit, "Wreath Force with Honor"! As a student veteran and volunteer with Wreaths Across America, I've been inspired to create a project that pays tribute to our nation's service members while exploring the engineering intricacies of wreath production. our exhibit will display the evolution of wreath-making techniques, from traditional handcrafting to modern mechanization. You'll see firsthand the importance of honoring our veterans through the symbolic act of wreath laying. our exhibit will unveil our innovative wreath making machine. You can watch as the mechanical system works, demonstrating its ability to clamp the tongs of a metal wreath frame with precision and repeatability. Through interactive demonstrations, you'll learn about the forces required to bend the metal frame tongs and the materials science behind it all. As you explore further, you'll discover our plans to automate the process using a motor, similiar to an automatic stapler. Imagine pressing a button and witnessing the seamless clamping of the tongs, stopping only when a specific force or length is achieved. It's a blend of tradition and technology, aimed at streamlining the wreath-making process while maintaining the utmost respect for the mission of Wreaths Across America. To enrich your experience, we've also reached out to industry partners like Mitchell Metal Products, who generously support Wreaths Across America. Learn about their contributions and how they've helped shape our project through their expertise and donations of metal rings. Overall, "Wreath Force with Honor" offers a unique journey into the intersection of engineering innovation and heartfelt tribute. Whether you're a veteran, an engineering enthusiast, or simply someone who appreciates the importance of honoring our servicemembers, we invite you to join us in celebrating the spirit of remembrance and respect.
