Winners announced in Imagine RIT T-shirt contest

First prize of $500 in Tiger Bucks went to Timothy Davcev, a third-year new media design student from Rochester. His design will be printed on some 2,800 shirts that will be worn by Imagine RIT exhibitors.

Two RIT students will receive Tiger Bucks as prizes for creating the winning designs for T-shirts to be worn by exhibitors and volunteers at the 2015 Imagine RIT: Innovation and Creativity Festival.

This is the first time festival organizers have conducted a T-shirt design contest. The winning designs were chosen by organizers and President Bill Destler from among 45 entries.

Second place, and $250 in Tiger Bucks, went to Xiangyin Li, of China, a fourth-year visual communications design major. That design will appear on the shirts worn by some 600 volunteers at the festival.

Imagine RIT, now in its eighth year, is set for 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 2. This campus-wide event showcasing the innovative and creative spirit of RIT students, faculty and staff typically draws about 35,000 visitors to the Henrietta campus, rain or shine.
