Dr. Edward E. Brown, Jr. is an assistant faculty member in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Rochester Institute of Technology. His research is in Rehabilitation Robotics and Engineering Education. Glenn D. Snyder is a 2007 graduate of the Atlanta University Center Dual Degree Engineering Program. Upon completion of the program, Glenn earned a B.S. degree in Applied Physics from Morehouse College and a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology. Currently, Glenn is a graduate student in the Electrical Engineering Department of the Kate Gleason College of Engineering at Rochester Institute of Technology. His research in the BioMechatronic Learning Laboratory includes Kinematic and Dynamic Modeling of rehabilitation robotics and designing advanced control paradigms for non-linear systems. Alan Smith is enrolled at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) in the electrical engineering department where he plans to obtain the BS and MS in electrical engineering in 2009. He is currently pursuing a biomedical engineering option and his graduate interests are specialized in signal processing and controls. In the past he has held positions at JLDSystems (Lancaster, PA), the Naval Surface Warfare Center (Bethesda, Md), Welch Allyn (Skaneateles Falls, NY), and PPL Electric Utilities (Lancaster, PA). Pooja Nanda, is currently pursuing her Bachelors and Masters Dual Degree in Electrical Engineering at Rochester Institute of Technology. Her research emphasis is in the field of biomedical engineering. She is exploring the control of a robotic arm using electromyographic signals from the human arm with the help of real-time fuzzy control combined with neural networks. She has been the Chairman of the RIT IEEE Student Branch in the past as well as an active member of other academic societies such as Tau Beta Pi. Her work experience in the industry comes from her various internships with GE Transportation, Advanced Micro Devices, and JP Morgan Chase. Jayadevan Radhakrishnan is currently pursuing his BS/MS degree in Electrical Engineering at Rochester Institute of Technology. His area of expertise involves Digital Signal Processing, Control Systems, and Embedded Systems. His recent research ventures involve Fuzzy EMG based robotic rehabilitation and EMG based control of a RC Car. From the myriad of industrial work experience, he is more focused in various system integration/engineering projects that put his hardware, software and project management skills to the test. Adey L. Gebregiorgis is a fifth year electrical engineering student pursuing a BS/MS degree at The Rochester Institute of Technology. She is in the biomedical option track within electrical engineering major, while concentrating in signal processing. She has participated in a summer research program at Purdue University (West Lafayette, IN) and interned for General Electric (Grain Valley, MO) as well as Boston Scientifics (St. Paul, Mn).
