Open Positions

Applications are invited from undergraduate and graduate students with research interest and background in computational science (physics, chemistry, or materials science) and engineering (microsystems or chemical) to join my research group.

The interdisciplinary projects in my research group focus on learning and implementing atomistic simulation methods to study and design novel materials for next-generation technologies. If you are interested, kindly email your CV/resume along with a brief description about your future goals and research interests.

Below is a brief description of the paid research positions:

  1. Paid undergraduate/graduate researchers for 1-year project to study and design silicates for carbon dioxide capture and sequestration.
  2. Paid undergraduate/graduate researchers to work in a 5-year project to study and design oxide heterostructures for renewable energy applications in solid oxide fuel cells. This project is also seeking a fully funded PhD student. Students working on this project will get opportunities to visit US national laboratory for summer research experience.
  3. Paid summer undergraduate research experience in either of the two projects mentioned above.

In addition to these paid positions, I have several thesis projects available for BS/MS students in Physics and/or Materials Science. I encourage interested students to contact me by email.
