Fringe Festival continues this weekend
Free shuttle buses offered for RIT students for weekend events

RIT's Eight Beat Measure will again entertain crowds with a cappella singing this weekend at the First Niagara Rochester Fringe Festival.
The popular First Niagara Rochester Fringe Festival continues through Saturday, offering hundreds of performances and displays in downtown Rochester, including many showcasing the talents of Rochester Institute of Technology students, faculty, staff and Osher members.
RIT is a founding higher educational sponsor of the community collaborative event, in its fifth year.
Since this year’s celebration of performing and visual arts began on Sept. 15, thousands of people have already attended the 10-day festival. All of the RIT-related events are free, and held at the Little Theatre and the Little Café, 240 East Ave., and Gallery r, 100 College Ave. Performances at other venues may require tickets.
Free shuttle buses will be available for RIT students, leaving areas in and near the RIT campus each hour, roughly 5 to 9 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday.
RIT’s Eight Beat Measure, a male a cappella group, has added a performance at 8 p.m. Friday. A performance by RIT’s Ukulele group, Shakespeare in sign language and improvisation storytelling are just some of the events scheduled.
