NRT+
NRT+ is a new synergetic network across NSF Research Traineeship programs at four universities. It collaboratively aims to advance inter-institutional themes at the frontiers of integrating technology with humans.
The NRT+ alliance is engaging its partnering members in several joint activities, including four in-person summits where trainees and mentors meet each other–one at each university–centering joint activities.
About the NRT+ Network
NRT+ will seek to enrich research training activities surrounding five themes at the frontiers of how humans and technology interact and integrate in society: (1) sensing and display technology, (2) assistive technology, (3) human-machine teaming, (4) human-centered design, and (5) social impact.
By bringing together faculty, trainees, and recent alumni from the four universities, we will promote convergent, interdisciplinary, and collaborative subclusters. The inter-institutional integration will also include an online resource with connection points and promote extensions of research and continuation work that may otherwise be limited to local sites. Broadening our combined networks of industry and international partners can facilitate technology transfer into products or services and offer trainees and alumni unique, widening network experiences.
