C-Print Pro Software
The C-Print® Pro software is used by C-Print captionists to provide access to spoken information in real time. We currently are distributing version 3.1 of the Server and Client applications.
C-Print Pro Server
The C-Print Pro Server application is used by trained captionists to provide speech-to-text services.
C-Print® Pro Server runs on computers using Windows XP, Windows 7, or Windows 8, 32- and 64-bit. (Starter Edition operating systems are not recommended.) The program requires minimal hard disk space (~107MB) and runs efficiently on computers with a 2.0GHz or faster processor. Note that antivirus and firewall settings may need adjustment to allow for and ensure the responsiveness of the Server/Client communication.
C-Print Pro Client
The standard client is used by students or other individuals accessing text from the Server via a second computer. It displays text output from the Server and has notetaking features for the student or other users.
The C-Print® Pro Client application is used to view C-Print captioning and the application is useful ONLY when linking to a C-Print service provider (captionist). C-Print Pro Client runs on computers using Windows XP, Windows 7, or Windows 8, 32-bit and 64-bit. (Starter Edition operating systems not recommended.) The program requires minimal hard disk space (~104 MB) and runs efficiently on computers with a 2.0GHz or faster processor. Note that antivirus and firewall settings may need adjustment to allow for and ensure the responsiveness of the Server/Client communication.
C-Print Mobile
A new Client application that can be used on Android and iOS devices! If your student is working with limited desk space and can benefit from using a smaller display device, like a tablet or smartphone, this application will work for you!
C-Print® Mobile is a client application used to view C-Print captioning on mobile devices. The application is useful ONLY when linking to a C-Print service provider (captionist). C-Print Mobile runs on iOS and Android devices that utilize the Apple iTunes and Google Play stores. In general, to run the app and connect to a C-Print captionist, the CLIENT/USER AND CAPTIONIST must connect via an Internet address. The mobile device can access the Internet using Wi Fi or cellular data. In addition, the C-Print captionist must be using the most recent C-Print Pro Server release (version 3.1.47).
C-Print Lite
A new Client application that can be installed on Windows and Mac computers. It has an “always on top” feature that is helpful when providing captioning for presentations, videos, etc. The window can be resized to run on top of another application, for example, Microsoft PowerPoint.
C-Print® Lite is a client application used to view C-Print captioning and the application is useful ONLY when linking to a C-Print service provider (captionist). C-Print Lite runs on Windows and Mac devices that successfully run Adobe® AIR™, a cross-operating-system runtime.
