On our first trip of the 2025 season, we will be traveling to Buffalo, our sister city to the west for art and architecture. Our first stop will be at the Frank Lloyd Wright’s Martin House, one of his masterpieces designed in the Prairie style. The main house has been rehabilitated, so this visit should be special. After our tour of the houses, we will board the bus again to travel a short distance downtown for lunch at the trendy Pearl Street Grill. (The entrée choices are listed below).

Our afternoon venue will be the Buffalo AKG Art Museum (formerly called the Albright-Knox). It has also been renovated, with a new gallery that just opened in 2023. The campus sits on the edge of Delaware Park, designed by Frederick Law Olmstead. The AKG has been one of Buffalo’s treasures for over 150 years, and it is now better than ever. This visit will also include a docent-led tour, but time should be available for viewing the art on your own.

Our lunch at the Pearl Street Grill has three choices. Make your choice when you register for this trip.

  • Signature Beer Braised Pot Roast with Mashed Potatoes
  • Grilled Bruschetta Chicken on Mixed Greens (gluten-free)
  • Vegetable-Stuffed Peppers (vegetarian, gluten-free)

Meal choices include rolls and butter, dessert-cake, sodas, iced tea, tea & coffee. If you have special dietary needs, please indicate so on the registration questionnaire.
