Dining on Campus

With many on-campus locations, RIT Dining provides options to meet a variety of dining experiences: full-service dining halls for sit-down meals; quick service locations for grab-and-go; coffee shops with baked goods; full-service concessions at entertainment venues; and markets and convenience stores for snacks, produce, everyday foods, and more. Meal plans offer flexibility so that students can utilize all of these options under one plan.

Parent Tips and Conversation Starters

While choosing a plan, talk with your student about how frequently they plan to eat on campus. RIT Dining has meal plans to fit every budget and appetite. Plans range from high Dining Dollar meal plans, best for hungry eaters, to plans for commuters that provide a daily snack while on campus. Meal plans are renewed each semester, so remind your student to pay attention to the new class schedule while considering whether to keep the same plan or opt for a new one.

Tips

  • Know the difference between Dining Dollars and Tiger Bucks.
  • Dining Dollars roll over from fall to spring semester, and up to $1,000 Dining Dollars will roll over after spring semester.
  • Your student can change their meal plan prior to the first week of class.
  • Students can send you a request for more funds using the Tiger Spend portal.
  • Online ordering allows students to skip the line.
