Meets twice a month and focuses on issues and priorities of college deans and academic unit directors.

This council serves as an advisory council to the provost in support of the career success of women faculty. 

The AFAC serves as an advisory council to the provost in support of the career success of African American, Latino American, and Native American faculty.

Meets twice per semester and focuses on issues faced by academic directors, program chairs. Meeting agendas are drafted by the Council of Chairs and Directors Steering Committee.

One of five committees of the Board of Trustees, the Education Committee analyzes the current academic portfolio and infrastructure against the current and projected needs of the students and communities RIT serves.
