- Proud Professional Moment: Although this is still being established, I’m very proud of making great progress on the development of the Expressive Communication Center
- Trials and Foils: There were many setbacks in establishing the ECC, including cutbacks in funding, persuading administrators, grant rejections, etc. It has been over 7 years in development
- Words of Wisdom: What is the one thing you know now, that you wish you knew when you arrived first year?
I wish I had been more strategic about what work I took on/agree to, I’m still working on this
- Future Aspirations: What you would like to accomplish in the next 10-15 years?
I would really like to elevate the research and programming of the ECC to be among the top at any university. One area I think we could be leaders is in workforce specific communication education and supporting D&HH students with presentations. I would also like to raise enrollments and further strengthen the programs in the School of Communication.
