This course serves as an introduction to cellular, molecular, and evolutionary biology. Topics will include: a study of the basic principles of modern cellular biology, including cell structure and function; the chemical basis and functions of life, including enzyme systems and gene expression; and the origin of life and evolutionary patterns of organism development on Earth.

    RIT announces start of summer semester registration, March 25

    RIT has announced that registration is open for its summer semester that will be offered in in-person and online formats. Undergraduate and graduate students can take advantage of a 12-week session and two six-week sessions, graduate students can also enroll in a targeted seven-week session.

    Building the SHED: A Q&A with RIT registrar Joe Loffredo

    The Student Hall for Exploration and Development (SHED) and the renovated Wallace Library will reopen in less than a year. Work has begun to schedule the fall semester classes that will be held for the first time in the SHED complex, and Joe Loffredo, RIT associate vice president for Academic Affairs and registrar, is leading the effort to assign the classrooms in Wallace Library.
