Narshini Gunputh, Jordana O’Brien, and Riley Supple, mathematical modeling Ph.D. students, presented at the first annual meeting of the New York-New Jersey-Pennsylvania Section of the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM-NNP), held Oct. 20-22 at New Jersey Institute of Technology in Newark, N.J. Gunputh presented a poster on “Mathematical Modeling of Contact Lens Drug Delivery”; O’Brien gave an oral presentation on “A Mathematical Model of Particle Deposition in the Human Lung”; and Supple presented a poster on “Mathematical Modeling of Ocular Tissue Deformation due to Intraocular Pressure.”

The Center for Engaged Storycraft will hold a workshop on “Engaging Art to Tell a Story” for high school women on Dec. 9 in collaboration with the Memorial Art Gallery. The workshop will be led by
