Mug 'X-Ray Coffee'
RIT Associate Professor Ted Kinsman and ‘73 alumnus Peter A Blacksberg have teamed up to design and produce this X-Ray coffee mug.
Ted is a professor of Photo Science RIT’s prestigious College of Art and Design. An expert in capturing the unseen around us, he is constantly extending his scientific expertise to artistic ends. From a bicycle-powered ‘Spirograph’, to a printer featuring ink made from coffee, and the author of Cannabis: Marijuana under the Microscope, he is truly a creative technologist. Peter is a long-time contributor to Shop One with his posters, coffee mugs, magnets, and journals featuring his ASL Manutype font, wood-turned pieces, and photographs. Peter says, “One look at Ted’s stunning photographs, and inspiration struck.” He designed this minimalist mug with his colleague David Newman (dnsf.com). Peter is a photographer in his own right, and the executive producer of Portraits of a Planet: Photographer in Space, an exhibition held at RIT and now on display in the Chester Carlson building on campus.
