Eva Kadagishvili (VP)
Pronouns: He/She
Hi! My name is Eva Kadagishvili, I'm from Greensburg, Pennsylvania and I'm campaigning for Vice President of Outspoken! I'm a first-year Film and Animation student in the 2D Animation track. As a huge advocate for transgender, queer, and women’s rights, I’d love to be a part of Outspoken to have a wider reach. I'm genderfluid and bisexual, and I would love to be a part of the solution and help members of my community at RIT. I enjoy art, video games, comic books, music, and horror films.
Platform
As OutSpoken President and Vice President, we'll foster an environment where collaboration and connection are the golden rule. We'll improve RIT's LGBTQ+ student experience by focusing on three topics: Intersectionality, Affirmation, and Support.
Focusing on the diversity that strengthens our communities, we will ensure every student's unique voice is heard and uplifted. By planning educational events with our LGBTQ+ affiliate clubs alongside RIT's culture-based RSOs, our differences will be not only acknowledged but actively celebrated!
We'll provide personalized resources and reassurance for members worried about current legislation against the transgender community (i.e., passports/IDs, gender-affirming care access, and safety concerns). We also plan to create and maintain an online database containing this essential information, ensuring help is always right at your fingertips!
Ultimately, we'll build a close-knit community where all are welcomed with open arms.
