My name is Ian McMullen, I am currently a first year Biotechnology and Molecular Bioscience student on a pre-medical track. I enjoy being able to learn about new things and challenge myself academically. I am from a small town in New York, and I hope to learn a lot if chosen for this position.

If I were elected to this position, I would work to continue to make the College of Science a place where all are welcome. Since the College of Science plays a crucial role in the degree requirements for STEM designated majors, it is important that no matter who walks through those doors, as long they are eager to learn they are welcome. With all the political turmoil in today, I feel it is important that no matter what executive orders are signed, the promotion of diversity, equity, and inclusion are still important in uplifting the voices of marginalized communities. I would also, if given the platform, would listen to the suggestions for improvement from CoS students and if feasible, work to bring their suggestions to life.
