Heath Boice-Pardee, associate vice president for Student Affairs at Rochester Institute of Technology, has received a $15,000 research fellowship to help identify the value of higher education.

Boice-Pardee said the research connects his work in RIT’s College of Applied Science and Technology as the developer of the higher education administration master’s concentration in Service Leadership and Innovation.

He plans to present his preliminary findings in May, and have the findings published.

“This concentration focuses on utilizing theories of customer service, value and student experience in higher education,” he said.

The Center for Leadership Studies and Educational Research at the University of Phoenix sponsors four such fellowships a year. They are intended to create a community of scholars for education and leadership studies, advance quality research to improve the best practices in education and leadership studies, and establish a path toward sustainable professional development for educators and leaders.
