Bio

Dr. LaVerne McQuiller Williams serves as the Associate Provost for Faculty Affairs.  Prior to her current role, she held several leadership roles at RIT, including Interim Dean of the College of Liberal Arts, Senior Associate Dean, department chair, and graduate director. Her primary research interests include intimate partner violence, restorative justice, therapeutic justice, and sex trafficking and she has published extensively in these areas. She served as the faculty advisor for the RIT Prelaw Association and Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity International from 1996-2016 and currently serves as the Faculty Advisory for the 3+3 BS/JD program with Syracuse Law School. She is also a past recipient of the Eisenhart Award for Outstanding Teaching at RIT.
