Operation Tiger Cloud Background
The University is replacing Oracle eBusiness Suite, our enterprise resource planning solution (ERP), which is used for managing RIT’s financial, human resources and budget processes. As an RIT employee, you use Oracle to view your paystub, sign up for benefits, submit an expense reimbursement, or update your personal information. Depending on your role, you may also use it to approve expense reports, invoices, and time off requests.
An Aging Platform
RIT implemented Oracle eBusiness Suite (also known as Oracle, myInfo, and /or Ebiz) in 1998, and it is approaching end-of-life. This poses a risk to our employees’ and university data security. Leveraging Workday as our new ERP enhances our data security and enables RIT to modernize university business processes, enhances user experience, and improves our ability to use data for decision-making.
A Modern Solution
The RFP to replace Oracle eBusiness Suite was released September 13th, 2023. In January of 2024, we announced the winning bidder, Workday. After an extensive selection process, RIT selected Accenture as our implementation partner to drive positive change for the future. Accenture provides expertise and a methodology to ensure we make the right business process decisions for RIT.
The Workday Implementation began in Summer 2024 and is expected to take approximately two years to roll out, with the primary launch of HR and Finance modules on January 1, 2026.
