PhD Positions Available! (expected start date: Fall 2025)
WISP lab is looking for highly-motivated PhD students to join in Fall 2025. The students will be working on one or multiple of the available research topics related to cybersecurity, AI, gaming, digital twining, and education (see below) in Golisano College of Computing and Information Sciences (PhD Program), currently ranked 70th in the U.S. News graduate schools ranking and 19th in the U.S. News undergraduate cybersecurity programs ranking, and ESL Global Cybersecurity Institute @ RIT, located at Rochester, NY with over 1.1M population in the metropolitan area and a great quality of life.
If you are proficient in programming (particularly C++) and have a strong background in either game design or cybersecurity, please send to hanif.rahbari@rit.edu a short description of your interests along with your CV/resume, transcript(s), and anything else that you believe can highlight your relevant qualifications. (GRE scores are encouraged although not required.)

- Digital twins
- Gamification for cybersecurity education
- Distributed machine learning and deep learning
- Post-quantum algorithms on embedded devices
- Trust in connected vehicle communications (including 5G C-V2X)
