Online Resources
We have a collection of Online Resources for interested students and faculty looking to improve their writing, reading, researching, and revising processes. Many of the resources on this page are maintained by RIT Libraries and the Wallace Library. Faculty may also consider these resources when designing curricula and supporting students.
Please send questions to Ruth Book, Writing Center Coordinator: Ruth.Book@rit.edu.
1-on-1 Consultations
The Writing Center has been designed to provide space for one-to-one and group appointments with a writing consultant. We offer both one-time and recurring weekly appointments. To book an appointment, visit https://rit.mywconline.com. If you are a first-time user, you must register in order to start scheduling appointments.
You or the consultant may discuss the possibility of a recurring appointment. Recurring appointments give students the opportunity to work with the same consultant once a week over the course of a semester to develop a sustained and supportive relationship, and provide time and space for students to get feedback on all stages of more complex, or multifaceted, writing projects.
Group Sessions
The Writing Center has also been designed to provide space for group appointments with a writing consultant. Group consultation includes the opportunity for a small group of students working on a shared writing project to talk collaboratively with a writing consultant about any aspect of their group work, including how to draft and revise with multiple writers.
