Academic Coaching and Workshops are facilitated by trained Peer Mentors and professional staff. Peer Mentors are student leaders whose experience provides valuable knowledge, relatable support, and advice for their peers based on their own experiences. Their mentorship is designed to help their peers develop academic success and self-advocacy skills, but it is important to note that Peer Mentors are not tutors, instructors, or academic advisors.
Academic Coaching
Students can expect to be guided through topics such as:
- Academic organization
- The study process
- Time management
- Preparing for exams and finals
- Project management
Students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to explore the Study Toolkit which houses various handouts and study strategies. When applicable, these resources will be introduced in academic coaching appointments.
