Accounting and Analytics Catapults Graduates into Advanced Accounting Careers

Accounting analytics is crucial for answering questions based on the massive amounts of data a company gathers—gaining insights and predicting outcomes, among other results. The newly revised master of science in accounting and analytics from Saunders College of Business provides students with the tools to be leaders in managing internal and external data related to accounting information using cutting-edge accounting technologies such as AI, advanced analytics, Big Data, and financial analytics. Leveraging RIT’s deep technical expertise, the accounting and analytics program gives students hands-on experience with R and Python computer languages and Tableau data visualization software, introduces them to Structured Query Language (SQL) and Systems Applications and Products in Data Processing (SAP), and helps them grasp essential technologies such as blockchain. The program ranks #25 among the Best Master's of Accounting by Eduniversal in 2022 and #49 for the Best Master's in Accounting by The Financial Engineer (TFE) Times in 2023.

Through a state-of-the-art facility, stay up-to-date with analytics trends and software in the Sklarsky Center for Business Analytics. Students are also able to receive an Advanced Certificate in Accounting and Financial Analytics.

International students can additionally qualify for a 24-month work extension to their Optional Practical Training (OPT) period, allowing for up to three years of work in the United States.
